This Charge-Sync cable for Dell Axim X50/X51/X50u/X50v/X51v series Pocket PC is an all-in-one cabling solution that allows synchronization of data and recharging of your Dell Pocket PC. This solution eliminates the need to use the bulky cradle, and the need to carry an additional AC to DC power brick for PDA charging.

Please Note: The Dell Axim X50v/X51v has to be in the OFF postion to charge properly.

Axim X50v/X51v Users: Screen flicker is usually a sign that the Pocket PC is shifting from external to internal power. That swapping is caused by the fact that the X50 draws a LOT of power when charging, and when added to that power required to run the X50 exceeds the ability of the USB port to provide. It is possible to burn out USB ports with overloads. Dell knew that USB could not reliably charge AND run the X50, so their cables prevent that by only charging when the unit is off unless external power is available. Our cables do NOT automaticly turn off the unit while charging. When the power overloads the supply, the voltage drops until it becomes unacceptable to the Pocket PC and the Axim shifts to internal power (the screen ususally darkens because the brightness is usually set to a lower level on battery than on external). The power supply recovers when the load is released, the voltage increases, the limits are reached and the Pocket PC accepts external power again (the screen brightens). Then the power draw exceeds the supply again and the cycle repeats. What you see is screen flicker.
